DOHA: Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Shiekh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received phone calls from Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom James Cleverly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Hanke Bruins, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminita Odobescu.

The prime minister discussed the latest developments of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel, and ways to reduce the escalation with the foreign ministers. The prime minister called for the international community to move quickly to respond to the decision of the UN General Assembly to reach a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip.

He expressed Qatar's firm position in condemning all forms of targeting civilians, and that killing innocent civilians, especially women and children, and practising the policy of collective punishment is unacceptable under any pretext.

He also stressed Qatar's complete rejection of the indiscriminate bombing of the Gaza Strip, and the attempts to displace its people forcibly. He warned of the danger of the ground escalation of this war to the safety of civilians and hostages in Gaza. He emphasized the necessity of continuing the entry of relief convoys and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers stranded under the bombing.

He also stressed the importance of coordinating international and regional efforts to stop the aggression against Gaza and work hard to achieve just and comprehensive peace.
