The Ministry of Labour has initiated action against 24 companies for failing to take precautionary measures against the COVID-19, especially for not having employees wear masks and not providing sterilisers.
The violations were caught during inspections carried out at workplaces and workers’ housing in various regions, including Lusail, Al-Kharaitiyat and Al-Shahaniya.
These inspections came within the framework of the Ministry of Labour’s keenness to monitor the extent to which companies are committed to implementing the measures taken to protect workers and mitigate the spread of the pandemic.
In this regard, the ministry confirmed that it would take necessary legal action against anyone who neglects the implementation of stipulated obligations.
