In cooperation with Qatar Airways, the Ministry of Labor on Monday signed a cooperation agreement related to qualifying and employing cadres from the national workforce, exploring new horizons for Qatari job seekers and employing them with the national carrier of the State of Qatar.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Labor HE Dr Ali bin Samikh Al Marri and CEO of Qatar Airways Group Akbar Al Baker.

Under this agreement, the Ministry of Labor will provide the necessary data of the candidates to Qatar Airways, after which the company will appoint them according to their required competencies and in proportion to the work needs.
In accordance with the agreement, Qatar Airways may submit its functional requirements to the Ministry of Labor, which in turn will provide the required number of national cadres to be appointed in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the national carrier.


The agreement also stipulates that Qatar Airways will supervise the process of qualifying human cadres, while providing the necessary training to develop their skills before integrating them into work if required, in addition the ministry's provision of a service office specialized in labor affairs in one of the Qatar Airways buildings, to facilitate procedures and speed up the completion of the required tasks related to recruitment processes.

Both sides agreed to review the terms upon occurring changes during their implementation, as well as the possible amendments of provisions by agreement of the two parties.

In his speech before the signing, the Minister of Labor pointed out the significance of this agreement in terms of employing national cadres and human resources and qualifying them to compete in the labor market, expressing his pride that Qatar Airways, as the national carrier of Qatar, is one of the best airlines in the world and the fastest in terms of development and growth at the present time.

He also explained that the signed agreement comes to localize jobs in the private sector, which is in line with the visions and policy of both parties, noting that it also aims to set a framework for joint cooperation between the two sides to develop national cadres and raise their capabilities to compete in the labor market.
