At least 26 civilians have been killed this month by landmines left behind by radical Islamists in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, a member of military leader Khalifa Haftar's eastern forces said on~Sunday. On July 6, Haftar announced that his forces~had taken full control of Benghazi, three years after it was overrun by jihadists. Abdel-Salam al-Mismari, an officer specialized in mine clearance in~Haftar's forces, said that all the mine-related deaths took place in the Benghazi~suburb of Sabiri. (dpa)
