He added, “The MoPH is proud to form the first team of certified coaching specialists since 2019, as the ministry is currently celebrating the fourth year of implementing the coaching and the achievements made in employing it in various fields of human resources management, the most important of which are leadership coaching, performance coaching, career development coaching, coaching empowering work teams and groups, health and well-being coaching, and institutional coaching.

He pointed out that the coaching programme at the Ministry of Public Health has contributed significantly to improving the job performance and productivity of employees as well as supporting the integration of new employees, and is currently being used to support the implementation of the new performance system - Adaa - and succession plans initiatives to prepare second-line leaders.

He also announced the readiness of the Ministry of Public Health to participate with strategic partners to develop solutions and come up with plans with strategic development proposals during the World Coaching Week for the benefit of local institutions in Qatar, where sustainable development and self-development are among the most important components of human development.

He stressed that the MoPH Human Resources Department will continue this fruitful partnership and cooperation with strategic success partners represented by the International Coaching Federation Doha Branch, where development programmes that provide institutional and strategic solutions are currently being planned and strategic development plans and proposals are implemented that we will complete their agenda immediately after the completion of the activities of the International Coaching Week.

Mohannadi thanked all the organisers, from the ministry or from the management of the International Coaching Federation Doha Branch, specialists and professionals of the coaching, pointing out that the week and the integrated programme, which was organised and presented with commitment and passion, made a difference in the quality of life of the participants.

Noura Bougatef, president of ICF Doha chapter, said: “On behalf of the ICF, I am pleased that the MoPH is sponsoring the International Coaching Week, as this joint cooperation between us represents an extension of the cooperation between the National Mental Health Programme and the mental health education teams at Hamad Medical Corporation and the Primary Healthcare Corporation, to promote awareness of the mental health of individuals and entities in Qatar.

“The World Coaching Week is an awareness programme about coaching, its importance and practices, as it includes many workshops, introductory lectures and interactive sessions that can benefit interested individuals. Our common goal is to enhance the coaching program for effective leadership and also create an institutional work environment that promotes well-being and health in the health and healthcare sector.”

The World Coaching Week is a celebration held by all branches of the International Coaching Federation in the world at the same time to celebrate the extent of the impact of coaching on increasing the awareness of individuals and their ability to self-deduction and find radical solutions to their problems.
