The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held an official talks session at the Akorda Presidential Palace in Astana on Wednesday. At the outset of the session, the Kazakhstan president expressed a warm welcome to HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation, appreciating HH Amir’s acceptance of the invitation to participate in the Astana International Forum. He also expressed his aspiration to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries at all levels, considering Qatar one of Kazakhstan’s most important partners in the Middle East, while pointing to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year. For his part, HH the Amir thanked the president for the warm reception, noting that this is his third visit to Kazakhstan through which he looks forward to advancing friendship and cooperation to broader horizons in light of the enormous potentials and opportunities of the two countries in various fields to achieve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
