The Qatar national team finished as runners-up in the Arab Billiards and Snooker Championship, underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday. Qatar comprising the trio of Ahmed Saif, Muhanna Al Obaidly and Bashar Hussein fell against Iraq 1-2 after a thrilling battle in the final. Qatar team finished the group stage on top after beating two Saudi Arabia sides and Kuwait. They defeated Jordan in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the third day of the tournament saw the Saudi national team player Khaled Al Ghamdi win the gold medal in the 10-ball billiards competition for juniors. The championship participated among 12 countries will conclude on May 29.
