Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater held a number of meetings during her visit to France on Thursday.

The Minister of State for International Cooperation met with Chief Executive Officer of the French Development Agency (AFD) Remy Rioux.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially ways to develop cooperation in the international development field and exchange experiences in the development field.

Ambassador of France to Qatar HE Jean-Baptiste Faivre attended the meeting.

The Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with members of the GCC-French Friendship Committee at the French Senate.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, especially the French-Qatari partnerships in the fields of energy, sports, investment and development.

The two sides praised the successful cooperation between Qatar and France in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2023.

Khater also met with members of the Qatari-French Friendship Committee in the French Parliament and discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop partnerships in various fields, especially international development.

They also discussed regional developments, especially in Syria, Afghanistan and Sudan, in addition to a number of issues of joint interest.

The two sides affirmed the continuation of joint efforts to support and enhance the relations between the two countries.
