Qatari poet Abdullah Al Hammadi dies at 71

Qatari poet Abdullah Abdulkarim Al Hammadi died on Saturday. He was 71.

The late poet became famous for his well-known poem -- Allah Ya Omri Qatar -- which he wrote in 1975, and was performed by Mohammed Al Saai to become one of the most famous patriotic songs.

The late Abdullah Al Hammadi wrote lyrical of many songs that were sung by Qatari singers.
