The students of the seventh group of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SOSH) have commenced discussions regarding their Master Theses and Capstones, which are obligatory for graduation. These discussions commenced in April 2023 and will continue until May 2023.
During these discussions, the students focused on significant research topics relevant to the region, encompassing social and cultural issues. The topics covered various disciplines, such as comparative literature, philosophy, history, critical studies, linguistics, social work, and political sciences.
Dr Amal Ghazal, the Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, expressed that this year’s number of master’s theses and graduation research papers reached 108. These projects explored crucial subjects concerning local and regional affairs within the Arab region, intertwining with current social and human science issues. Dr Ghazal emphasized the originality and high quality of many of the projects, showcasing the students’ creative exploration of diverse research topics. The school aims to graduate students who adapt to ever-changing local and global dynamics. The chosen project topics reflect the school’s commitment to diversity and excellence, addressing issues relevant to the Arab World in its programs.
