QATAR University College of Medicine (CMED) recently organised the 'Hands-Only CPR' awareness campaign to commemorate the Heart Saver Month initiated by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Organised in collaboration with QU Health Clinic, the event engaged over 131 students, staff, faculty and visitors. Participants had the opportunity to learn the skills of Hands-Only CPR, a life-saving activity that calls people to act in critical situations. They practiced chest compressions on manikins and received instant constructive and corrective feedback.
Hands-Only CPR can save lives. As per the AHA, immediate CPR can double or even triple a person's chances of survival. (TNN)
