The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) held a suhour feast for the health sector staff in the presence of Minister of Public Health HE Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al-Kuwari, and senior officials and staff, at Westin Doha Hotel and Resort yesterday. This comes to enhance the cooperation and team spirit among workers of the health sector, and to honour them for their great efforts to serve the community.

HE Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari congratulated all health workers on the holy month of Ramadan. “We are grateful for your sincere efforts and honourable performance that contributed to providing the best health services to the population of Qatar according to the best standards,” she said.

“You have demonstrated your high competence and strong belief in the superiority of your humanitarian profession, which was evident during the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and your distinguished efforts during our country’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the continuous improvement of these efforts to achieve our national vision for a healthier future for the Qatari society”, H.E Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari said. “On this occasion, we are inspired by the meanings and values of faith from this holy month to always provide the best to serve our community”, the Minister of Public Health added.

Ali Abdullah Al Khater, chairman of the Supreme Committee for Healthcare Communications at (MoPH), explained that the Suhoor feast comes as part of the initiatives aimed at enhancing the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among workers at the health sector, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, and as an expression of the Ministry’s appreciation for their great efforts, and keenness to achieve the highest scores of job satisfaction, in a way that contributes to serving our society and achieving our strategic goals.

Dr. Abdullatif Al-Khal, head of the National Strategic Group to combat (COVID-19), and Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammed, head of the Health Strategic Leadership Group for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, also spoke during the ceremony. They thanked the health sector employees, praising the great efforts they made by them in tackling (COVID-19) pandemic and the great success of the World Cup tournament, which created a sustainable legacy that can be benefited from locally and globally, and praised the great efforts made by all work teams.
