Nearly 500 workers and bachelors break their fast daily at Qatar Charity’s Iftar table in Al Hilal, one of 40 Iftar tables for this Ramadan organised by Qatar Charity (QC) across Qatar.

This comes as part of Qatar Charity’s ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign and within the framework of the ‘Feed the Fasting’ project.

Osama Al Abdullah, supervisor of the Iftar table, said Qatar Charity strives to reach the largest number of targeted workers and bachelors in this area.

He added that the Iftar table in Al Hilal is one of the important Iftar tables that Qatar Charity is keen to continue to hold every year, adding that an air-conditioned tent has been set up for 500 fasting people to ensure their comfort.

He explained that a sermon is delivered in an Asian language before Iftar, when each fasting person receive an Iftar meal.

Muhammad Salman, an Islamic preacher, delivered a lecture in Urdu on the virtues of Ramadan, highlighting the importance of fasting and the rewards a fasting person receives from Almighty Allah.

He said one must fast for the sake of Allah only, because He is the One who will reward and honour him on the Day of Resurrection.

The beneficiaries appreciated the role of Qatar Charity in providing them with Iftar meals.Hisham, a beneficiary of the Iftar table in Al Hilal, thanked Qatar Charity for its humanitarian role and its keenness to hold the Ramadan Iftar tent that receives more than 500 fasting persons daily.

Mohammed Sihan praised Qatar Charity’s efforts in providing Iftar meals to the fasting people, noting that Iftar meals are provided in the well-organised tent, thanking the benefactors and Qatar Charity for implementing the Iftar programme for workers and bachelors.
