The Qatar Olympic Committee’s Athletes Committee held its first regular General Assembly meeting for 2020-2024 at QOC’s Headquarters on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Secretary-General of Athletes Commission Nada Mohamed Wafa and attended by members ofthe General Assembly who satisfiedthe meeting quorum. Duringthe meeting, attendees have approved GA members list, ratified meeting agenda, set up a strategic work plan to achieve the Commission’ objectives and fulfill its needs in the years to come. The committeeofficial budget for 2023 , its programs ,activities, as well as athletes worships, field visits and participation inall events across the country have been reviewed during the meeting. Most notably, the General Assembly have unanimously approved the request of Mrs. Mubaraka Al Abdallah of Qatar Winter Sports Committee to join the General Assembly of the Athletes Commission. To shed lights on the committee’s incoming activities, the Committee Nada Mohamed Wafa said the committee will organize a series of workshops in future that will be in cooperation with Olympic Council of Asia and IOC’s Athletes Commission.
