During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Silent Volunteers Qatar has launched a noble initiative to provide iftar packets to people on the move – those who for some reason, can’t reach home in time to break their fast.

The initiative embodies the spirit of Ramadan in a visible expression of social unity. Silent Volunteers has rolled out this initiative in association with Clean Nation who will help with distribution of iftar packets at Al Sadd traffic signal.

Speaking on the initiative, Isham Marikar, leader of Clean Nation said “We engage in this noble activity to make commuters aware about safe driving and to further our aim of giving back to Qatar.”

Ihjas Faiz, coordinator for Silent Volunteers said: “We are thankful to the Clean Nation volunteers for supporting this idea by distributing the iftar packets to families and commuters who are still on the road and are yet to break their fast.”

Silent Volunteers is also trying to tie up with other charitable organisations to expand this activity to the entire month of Ramadan and to provide the iftar boxes to those in need.
