The Qatar Cricket Association added another feather to its cap when it conducted a coaching camp at the Pearl School on February 16.
The camp was a big success in terms of getting the number of participants. In all, 175 boys and girls, aged between seven and 11 years, got tips from qualified coaches of the QCA.
The trainees displayed both will and attitude to learn the basic skills of the game and build early foundation. More coaching camps will polish them further.
Aruna De Silva was the Head Coach of the camp, while he was assisted by other coaches Saman Fonseka, Dr Sohail Yaqoob, Haider Ali Surve and Shivani Mishra.
Amin Ul Islam, the Head of the Schools Cricket in QCA, supervised the camp and ensured it ran smoothly, giving due attention to each trainee.
QCA Operations Manager Manzoor Ahmad expressed happiness at the results of the camp. He congratulated both coaches and trainees for the success of the camp. He also thanked the Pearl Principal Manjari Recriwal and her staff for full cooperation without which the camp would have not produced the desired outcome.
On behalf of the QCA, Amin Ul Islam presented a momentous of appreciation at the closing ceremony.
