Qatar's gross domestic product (GDP) at constant prices (real GDP) increased by 4.3 percent to QR175.028 billion in the third quarter of 2022 over QR 167.782 billion in the same quarter of the previous year, according to data released by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) on Wednesday.
When compared to the revised estimate of QR168.879 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 3.6 percent was recorded in the third quarter.
According to data released by PSA, the quarterly GDP at current prices in the third quarter of 2022 is estimated at QR228.423 billion. This represents an increase of 30.7 percent compared to the estimate of QR 174.814 billion in the third quarter of 2021. When compared to the revised estimate of QR216.468 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 5.5 percent was recorded.
The nominal gross value added (GVA) estimate of Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR105.896 billion in the third quarter of 2022, which shows an increase of 56.2 percent over the estimate of QR67.812 billion in the third quarter of 2021.
Compared to the revised estimate of QR98.086 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 0.8 percent in the GVA of this sector is recorded.
The real GVA of Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR64.377 billion in the third quarter of 2022, which shows an increase of 2.7 percent compared to the estimate of QR 62.685 billion in the third quarter of 2021.
Compared to the estimate of QR63.884 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 0.8 percent in the real GVA of this sector is also recorded.
The nominal GVA of Non-Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR122.527 billion in the third quarter of 2022, which shows an increase of 14.5 percent over the estimate of QR 107.002 billion in the third quarter of 2021.
Compared to the revised estimate of QR118.382 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 6.9 percent is recorded.
The real GVA of Non-Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR110.651 billion in the third quarter of 2022, which shows an increase of 5.3 percent over the estimate of QR105.097 billion in the third quarter of 2021. When compared to the revised estimate of QR104.995 billion in the second quarter of 2022, an increase of 5.4 percent is also recorded.
