Tribune News NetworkDohaBahrain has sent an invitation to Qatar to send an official delegation to Manama "as soon as possible" for bilateral talks "on pending issues" between the two countries, the UAE-based Gulf News has reported.

The invitation comes after a blockade imposed on Qatar by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt was lifted and ties were restored following the signing of an agreement at the 41st GCC Summit held in the Saudi Arabian city of Al Ula on January 5.

The invitation was sent by Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani to Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.The talks are aimed to “reach the lofty goals we aspire to achieve for benefits of citizens of the two brotherly countries, and to strengthen joint Gulf action,” the Bahraini official said in an invitation letter, according to Gulf News.
