THE General Authority of Customs has destroyed 30,762 bottles of wine seized by customs inspectors at Doha Port recently. The wine bottles along with some other alcoholic materials were found in four containers.
The disposal of the wine bottles took place in the presence of the head of the relevant committee of Customs and a representative each from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).
The disposal of the bottles took place after the completion of the administrative and legal procedures and court's approval in this regard. It is worth mentioning that the Customs carries out the disposal of goods periodically in designated areas. (TNN)
