Qatar's Coach Felix Sanchez said the team's 1-3 loss to Senegal in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group A match on Friday does not reflect the team's entire effort during the encounter.

The team could not impose control in the first half, as the Senegalese team exhibited great defence coherence and harmony, Coach Sanchez said pointing out that Qatar still created several opportunities and put pressure on Senegal's team.

The performance of the Qatari team was much better during the second match than in the first one, he told QNA, pointing out that the Senegalese team comprises a lineup of international players.

Felix Sanchez concluded that they are aware that this competition is of a high level, believing that Qatar has excelled in organizing this World Cup and the Qatari team is working to reach the next World Cup, adding that Qatar has succeeded in organizing a distinguished World Cup.
