Al Muntazah Park beautified with wild ghaff, samar, sidra and a number of trees covered with golden yellow flowers is expected to reopen shortly, and it will be a spectacular sight for Doha residents.

The Rawdat Al Khail Park, popularly known as Al Muntazah Park, was one of the oldest and largest parks located at the heart of the Doha. It was not fully functional, and the entry was restricted to the public for the last couple of years.

The park is being redesigned and constructed by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal). Located on C-Ring Road, the park will provide social, environmental and recreational benefits to the public, as well as different facilities catering to the needs of visitors of all ages with a distinct green environment.

The park is spread over an area of 140,000 sqm, features a green arena spread over 105,000sqm with over 1,000 trees, more than 1,300m of pedestrian paths and enough car parking slots.

The trees that were there in the park have been ideally utilized in the new design, offering more greenery and natural shade for visitors. The "charming design" of the parks is expected to attract visitors and tourists because of the large spaces allocated for green areas and more than 15 years of old trees.

Trees like wild ghaff, samar and sidra planted at the park will contribute to controlling the effects of winds and dust and result in reducing temperature and air pollution in the city.

Many of the trees at the park covered with golden yellow flowers has already been viral in social media hands of Doha residents is expected to crowded once it is opened for public.

The better road network and number of eateries opened close to the park will make it one of the favourite destinations for entertainments and refreshments for Doha residents. The park will also be a refreshing visual treat for tourists at nearby hotels.
