The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has carved out a prominent position as Qatar’s premier gastronomic destination. Such culinary mastery has been overseen by its talented team of chefs, which is delighted to welcome new Executive Chef, David Dahlhaus.
Renowned for his passion and creativity, David brings a vast range of experience to his new position. From his formative years as apprentice chef in Germany, he worked his way up, through a number of fine dining and Michelin starred restaurants, as well as completing a three-month stint at world-class, Noma, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
David’s keen interest in all things culinary has seen him travel across the globe, honing his craft at some of the best hotels and restaurants around. His impressive career includes working at Renaissance UK, JW Marriott Hotel Dubai, Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi, Jumeirah Group’s Multi-award winning Pierchic in Dubai, Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, One&Only Seef Bahrain and spending his last four years at One&Only Desaru Coast, Malaysia, as executive chef.
“I am delighted that David is joining the Ritz-Carlton, Doha’s expert culinary team,” said General Manager Carlo Javakhia. “His in-depth knowledge of global cuisine and Michelin-star experience bring an exciting additional dimension to the hotel’s already prominent restaurant and catering scenes.”
An experienced hotelier and culinarian, David has spent his life exploring the world through food. His work ethic is well-respected as is his leadership, exemplary standards and gastronomic mastery.
A strong enthusiasm for exceptional produce, combined with his excellent skills at crafting healthy, tasty menus and beautifully accomplished dishes will not only complement the hotel’s existing offering, but is an opportunity to further extend its growing catering business.
David joins the team that successfully won the tender as official caterer for the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center and will, without doubt, bring his creative flair to this prestigious partnership.
