Ambassador of Qatar to Algeria HE Abdulaziz Ali Al Naama has confirmed that the visit of His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Algeria to attend the opening of the 19th Mediterranean Games in the city of Oran reflects the strength of relations between the two countries.
The ambassador said the presence of HH the Amir at the opening of the 19th Mediterranean Games bears the highest indications of appreciation that His Highness has for his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the special importance that His Highness attaches to Algeria.
He stressed that the Qatari-Algerian relations are witnessing continuous development and steady growth, especially since the visit of HH the Amir to Algeria in February 2020. These relations also increased in strength with the visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Qatar in February.
He said the two countries are in the process of signing other new cooperation agreements in the future, which will pave the way for a deep strategic partnership between them.
