The Al Khor Unit of the Marine Protection Department has caught a few fishermen who trapped wild birds to sell them in violation of Qatar's hunting laws.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change said its inspectors retrieved the birds from the vessel and released them into the wild after tending to them.
The ministry called on the public to abide by the laws and to preserve the biodiversity and the ecological balance of Qatar's environment.
