Lexus has been a pioneer in the development of self-charging hybrid electric vehicle technology and today Lexus Hybrid Drive delivers an unparalleled drive that must be experienced to be truly appreciated. With generations of proven technology, Lexus Hybrids offer exceptional fuel efficiency with cutting-edge design and innovation that delivers exhilarating driving. AAB Lexus has a wide number of Hybrid models in its line-up: a perfect blend of fuel efficiency, instantaneous power and indulgent luxury — all with nothing to plug in.
Lexus vehicle sales are supported by Lexus state of the Art showroom. “The biggest gift we can offer our customers today is the total ownership experience of driving a Lexus. Catering to owners from all segments and having the largest hybrid range in the region we at Lexus Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co. will surpass the boundaries of limitation to simply make you experience amazing,” AAB Lexus said in a statement.
The showroom is a facility with two main floors — the ground floor measuring 2,900 sqm, the first floor measuring 1,200 sqm and the basement measuring 1,400 sqm. A total of 34 vehicles can be displayed 22 in the ground floor and 12 in the basement.
The concept is built around transforming function into emotion, performance into passion and technology into imagination. The showroom is inspired by the best modern applications of traditional Japanese culture combined with an amazing experiential salon. AAB Lexus Hybrid lineup includes:
Lexus LS 500h
LS500h flagship sedan, equipped with several world-firsts and Lexus’ first performance, design, and safety features, the premium passenger car is set to not only win the hearts of the region’s luxury enthusiasts, but also redefine luxury driving in a more stylish manner. Combining painstaking craftsmanship with Lexus’ expertise and attention to detail, the flagship sedan embodies Lexus’ evolution as a luxury lifestyle brand committed to surprising and delighting its customers. The LS Hybrid takes an entirely different approach than the previous LS Hybrid model. The new state-of-the-art Multi Stage Hybrid System combines a naturally aspirated Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with two electric motor/generators and uses a compact, lightweight lithium-ion battery. The combined system output of the internal combustion engine with the electric traction system is 354 hp. The new system is based on the electronically controlled Continuously Variable Planetary (CVP) transmission of Lexus Hybrid Synergy Drive, coupled with an all-new four-speed automatic gear set at the output stage. The two systems work together to expand the overall range of gearing and increase operation of the V6 engine across a wider speed range than previous hybrids. The result is impressive fuel economy, low emissions, and excellent on-road performance that will satisfy even the most demanding driving enthusiast.
Lexus ES 300h
The electrified hybrid powertrain was developed for the ES. This powertrain option combines two power sources consisting of a petrol engine and two electric motors, producing 176 HP and 22.5 kg-m of torque and 118 HP and 20.6 kg-m of torque, respectively, delivering a combined system output of 215 hp. This powertrain is also mated to a new hybrid transaxle that provides the lowest fuel consumption value of 22.4km/L, and highest driving performance of this class. The hybrid transaxle offers differential limit torque under certain conditions such as light loads or low rotational speed differences, to help realize excellent straight-line stability against external disturbances as well as steering stability. The class-leading hybrid electric model ES 300h can be driven entirely by either electrical ‎power with zero-fuel consumption and carbon emissions, or with a combination of a petrol ‎engine and two electric motors, depending on the vehicle’s speed and customer’s driving behavior. ‎The batteries in the hybrid electric drivetrain are automatically charged by either the petrol ‎engine or when braking and decelerating, eliminating the need to plug in a power cord. Furthermore, the ES 300h electrified ‎hybrid model features a host of advanced technologies, yet drives like any other conventional car and ‎does not require special fuel.
Lexus RX450h
The Lexus RX 450h can be driven entirely by electrical ‎power with zero-fuel consumption and carbon emissions, or through a combination of its petrol ‎engine and two electric motors, depending on the vehicle’s speed and customer’s driving behavior. ‎The batteries in the hybrid electric drivetrain are automatically charged by either the petrol ‎engine or when braking and decelerating, eliminating the need to plug in a power cord. A host of advanced technologies ensure the RX 450h drives like any other conventional vehicle, while not requiring special fuel. The introduction of the electrified version of the RX cements Lexus’ continued efforts in creating ever-better cars and further reiterates its commitment to environmental sustainability.
Lexus LC 500h
Lexus developed a new Multi Stage Hybrid System specifically for the LC 500h. The Multi Stage Hybrid System is a world’s first construction that combines the Lexus hybrid system with variable gears. By controlling the output of both the higher rpm 3.5-liter V6 engine and the electric motor, it achieves powerful performance from low speeds through to high range driving. In addition, operating points were selected for high system efficiency from low through to high speeds and the sphere of Electric Vehicle (EV) performance has been enlarged. Altogether, these helped to deliver an emotive driving experience, superior fuel efficiency, and comfortable cruising. The Multi Stage Hybrid System also allows for more electric assist at lower vehicle speeds, and it enables the LC 500h to operate with the gasoline engine off at speeds of up to 140 km/h.
The combined system output is 354 HP, yet that figure does not fully indicate the LC 500h’s performance potential. The LC uses an advanced Driver’s Mind Index (DMI) control to understand the driver’s intentions which helps to optimize gear selection. The power generated from the engine and the motor is rapidly and accurately sent to the tires, providing for a high-performance engine rpm and acceleration in accordance with the driver’s intentions. When driving along winding roads, the car changes to a lower gear, and proceeds to actively downshift when braking.
On the other hand, during more challenging sports driving, the battery provides additional output so as to achieve a greater torque sensation, thus providing an emotional driving experience that will change the way hybrids have been perceived.
