Teenager Haya Khalid Al Hitmi, who has shown excellent form this season, will once again be in the spotlight in the third round of the Qatar Equestrian Tour - Longines Hathab to be held over the weekend at the indoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation.

The 14-year-old Haya, who topped the first two legs of the 14-leg annual equestrian series in showjumping, also leads the table with 55 points.

Jassim Al Jaham is a close second with 49 points. Saif Mohammed Al Naimi is third having garnered 45 points.

Competition in the Medium Tour is also expected to exciting with Hussain Saeed Haidan and Khalid Sanad Al Nuaimi currently sharing the leadership position with 48 points each.

Haidan will be hoping to extend his winning run after topping the last round.

Khalifa Abdulla Al Khaldi with 45 points is third in the points tally.

In the Big Tour, Mohammed Khalifa Albaker, who has had a fabulous start to his season, will look to score a hat-trick of titles having won the first and second rounds.

He is currently on top with 60 points, followed Sheikh Khalifa Al Thani on 52 points.

The challenging Cyrine Cherif is third on the list with 48 points.

In the Future Riders’ category, Mohammed Abdulla Al Marri will be eyeing to consolidate his top spot as he leads the table with 30 points, followed by Kaltham Thani Al Sowaidi with 27 points. Abdulaziz Abdulla Alabri is third with 25 points.

Team Alfardan are leading the Team event with 60 points followed by Team Ajwad (54), and ExxonMobil (50). The second round saw enthralling competition in the event.

The mandatory veterinary check for the horses ahead of Longines Hathab Round 3 was conducted on Thursday.

Longines Hathab season six (2022-23) comprises 14 rounds and is jointly held at QEF Indoor Arena and the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab until April 2023.

5.3pm: Medium Tour (Individual & Teams)

(Table A, One round against the clock 120/130cm)

Saturday

3pm: Open Class: Table A, two phases

5.30pm: Future Riders (U-14) Optimum Time (Max 80cm)

6pm: Future Riders (U-14 & Beginners) Optimum Time (Max 90cm)

6.30pm: Big Tour (Table A, One round against the clock with jump-off 130/140cm).
