Ahmed Saif has won the fifth Qatar national ranking snooker championship, organized by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation. He defeated Ali Al Obaidly (4-1) in the final. Al Obaidly topped the general ranking of the players both in billiards and snooker for the 2021 season after collecting the largest number of points. Bashar Hussein was second followed by Saif in third and Muhanna Al Obaidly in fourth place. In billiards, Walid Majed finished second overall behind Ali Al Obaidly while Bashar Hussein was third, and Muhammad Al Marri fourth. The trio of Ali Al Obaidly, Ahmed Saif and Muhanna Al Obaidly have been chosen to represent the snooker team, while Walid Majid, Bashar Hussein, and Ali Al Marri picked to represent Qatar’s billiards team in the Arab and West Asian championships scheduled to be held in the UAE from November 3.
