The Ministry of Transport announces its development of an overarching strategy and associated legislation for governing autonomous vehicles in Qatar.
This step is reinforcing the Ministry’s vision of leveraging emerging technologies in line with best world practices and further improving mobility and transportation services in the country with an environmentally sustainable formof transport.
The development of the strategy and legislation will take into account technical, legal, economic, social and environmental considerations; resulting in a governance and regulatory framework along with a road map for the implementation of autonomous vehicles in the country.
