Qatar University (QU) will organise separate graduation ceremonies for its Class of 2021 female students in the mornings and evenings starting from Tuesday, October 12, 2021 and ending on Saturday, October 16, 2021, the university has announced in a statement.
The ceremonies will be held in the QU Sports and Events Complex.
The graduation ceremonies will be streamed live on the QU YouTube Channel. The graduates will be received on stage by the deans of their respective colleges as well as ceremony organisers.
All necessary safety and precautionary measures approved by the state will be implemented to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The QU graduation ceremony is an annual tradition since its inception in 1977, celebrating students in bachelor and postgraduate degrees.
The graduates typically complete the final step in their university journey in the presence of QU President Dr Hassan Rashid Al Derham, university vice-presidents and officials, faculty, alumni and their family, in addition to VIP guests.
Due to the pandemic, this year’s attendance will be limited to graduates and organisers.
