Indosat Ooredoo on Saturday announced that it has won four new Awards at the 2021 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. The Stevie Awards included one Gold, one Silver and two Bronze awards and recognize Indosat Ooredoo for its innovative management, COVID-19 response, market-leading digital products and services, and commitment to network excellence.
The Awards also recognized Indosat Ooredoo’s on-going work to support the Government and Indonesian people in this challenging time by providing the best digital products and services to customers. The Gold Stevie Award for innovative management is particularly significant and reflects the company’s commitment to good governance, to empowering our employees and for digital innovation that is accelerating Indonesia’s transformation into a digital nation.
Indosat Ooredoo’s President Director and CEO, Ahmad Al-Neama, was named Gold Stevie Winner in the category Innovative Management in Technology Industries - More than 100 Employees. The award recognized Al-Neama for his outstanding leadership of Indosat Ooredoo, which has continued to build its growth momentum and gain cellular market share in Indonesia despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The award also recognized Al-Neama for his promotion of innovation, including Indosat Ooredoo’s focus on new digital products and services that have helped customers adapt to online lifestyles, and for his commitment to employee engagement and development.
Indosat Ooredoo was also named Silver Stevie Winner for its COVID-19 response. During the pandemic Indosat Ooredoo invested in its video grade 4G network to meet the surge in demand for data and focused on providing new digital products that enabled consumer and business customers to remain connected and operational, while staying safe and in their own home. Indosat Ooredoo also launched several initiatives to support the national COVID-19 response, including entering a new partnership with the UN Development Program, the provision of free data services to most universities across Indonesia to enable remote learning and the launch of IDCamp, Indonesia’s biggest coding scholarship for its third year inviting young Indonesian developers to gain required professional skill in competing at new digital landscape.
Indosat Ooredoo’s focus on providing simple and relevant products and network excellence was also recognized by two Bronze Stevie Awards for Innovation in Consumer Products & Services, and Innovation in Technology Management, Planning & Implementation.
The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are a leading awards program that recognise innovation in business across all 29 Asia-Pacific countries. The Stevie Awards are considered to be the world’s premier business awards, with Gold, Silver and Bronze winners selected by a panel of judges comprising 100 executives from around the world.
