The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, represented by the Labor Inspection Department, has detected a violation in one of the workers’ accommodations belonging to a company working in the field of cleaning and hospitality in Al-Kheesa.
The violation notice was issued for failure to comply with the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers. Legal measures were taken against the violating company by the ministry’s Labor Inspection team. The ministry urged companies to adhere to the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers in order to avoid penalties that amount to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, and a fine of no less than QR2,000 and not more than QR100,000, or one of these two penalties.
