Following her distinguished performances through the year (2020-21) Maryam Ahmed Al Semaitt emerged as the overall champion in Level 1 Medium Championship dressage event of the fourth season of Longines Qatar Equestrian Tour Hathab Supported by The Social and Sport Contribution Fund and organized and conducted jointly by the Qatar Equestrian Federation and Al Shaqab (Member, Qatar Foundation).
Maryam had finished second in the 11th and final round at Al Shaqab’s Longines Indoor Arena on Saturday but continued to stay atop the rankings having accumulated a total of 165 points having participated in six rounds of Hathab.
Maryam Al Boinin finished as the overall runners-up with 146 points, while Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari is third with 136 points.
In the Prelim Championship (Level 2), Asmaa Yasser Mohammed has topped with 174 points followed by Jassim Muhammad Al Fahd Al Kuwari (144), and Ghanem Nasser Al Qadi (139) points.
In the Future Riders’ annual competition, Cain Monty emerged best in the second level with 164 points from six rounds, followed by Fahd Abdel Karim and Majed Abdel Rahman.
The first level saw Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani with 154 points take the top prize followed by Barzan Azzam Saleh and Jassim Adel as second and third respectively.
The grand finale of the season’s Longines Qatar Equestrian Tour Longines Hathab will conclude with the 12th round of showjumping next Saturday (March 27) after which all overall winners of various categories as also each round winners will be awarded.
It is noteworthy that that Longines Hathab 2020-21 was conducted despite the challenges due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic challenges with many of the rounds being held behind closed doors at Qatar Equestrian Federation’s indoor arena as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Health for the safety of all participants, organisers and fans.
The fourth season of Longines Hathab championship is also main partnered by ExxonMobil And Global Peace.
