The Cabinet has hailed the speech delivered by His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the opening of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
In the speech, HH the Amir raised issues comprehensively and identified positions clearly through inclusive visions, ideas and constructive proposals to confront the challenges and crises that afflict many regions around the globe.
The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani,affirmed that HH the Amir presented the responsibilities, duties and tasks of the international community, defined by the Charter of the United Nations.
The Cabinet affirmed that, as HH the Amir welcomed the peoples of the world to FIFA World Cup Qatar, His Highness expressed the enthusiasm of Qatar and its people, after having taken the challenge twelve years ago and working alongside the wise leadership to host an exceptional global tournament that reflects Qatar’s values, authenticity, history and accomplishments.
