Ooredoo Qatar, the region’s leading provider of digital enterprise, has announced it will serve as the diamond sponsor of Milipol Qatar 2021, the international event for homeland security and civil defense in the Middle East.
The upcoming exhibition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in Qatar will take place from 15-17 March 2021. (DECC). The State of Qatar launched its first event on homeland security in the Middle East under the Milipol trademark in 1996.
Milipol Qatar 2021 coincides with an increasing number of cyber attacks worldwide. Ooredoo’s proposal includes end-to-end security solutions capable of fully securing operations and monitoring the infrastructure of the customer. The national carrier aims to create a secure and digitally hyper-connected environment in support of the Qatar National Vision 2030, using an innovative global approach to digital services as a key partner in all aspects of corporate digital services and security, providing vital tools for government and military use.
The sponsorship of this key regional security event reflects Ooredoo’s primary position in two key areas: both as a national carrier providing secure and secure network and connectivity services in line with military standards and as an aspirational leader in ICT solutions. The sponsorship package is particularly relevant given Ooredoo’s specific focus on cyber security, its work on large-scale projects and its role as Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP).
Ooredoo will present its ICT platforms at Milipol Qatar 2021: its Managed Security Services, including Security Operations Centre, DDoS mitigation suite, Cloud Web Security and Web Application Firewall; its Data Center & Cloud, which includes Cyber Recovery Solution, Cloud Backup and Microsoft Azure services; and its Internet of Things solutions, including Fleet Management and IoT Connect;
Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani – Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo – said: “Yet again, Ooredoo’s extensive experience in the events industry has helped to secure a partnership with a major exhibitor. Moreover, this is particularly relevant within the homeland security sphere, given our history of supplying crucial services and solutions for safeguarding nationwide infrastructure and networks, as well as technical provision critical to resilience and crisis management.”
“Our unique combination of ISP and ICT capabilities can provide flexible business models to support the State and local businesses, overcoming even the most critical challenges — as seen during the recent pandemic,” he added.
