Sana’a: Yemen’s Iran-linked Houthi rebels said on Thursday that one of their missiles had struck a Saudi oil facility in the coastal city of Jeddah. Houthi military spokesman Yehia Serae said they had targeted the Saudi Aramco facility with a Quds 2 missile and "the hit was accurate.” There was no confirmation from the Saudi side. The Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis in Yemen said only that it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired towards the coastal city of Jazan, which is close to the border with Yemen. Houthis targeted Aramco in November, with Riyadh later saying that the attack had caused a fire at a distribution station, but that fuel supplies were not affected. In a much bigger incident in 2019, two Aramco facilities were attacked, temporarily disrupting crude oil production. (dpa)
