Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) signed an agreement with S’hail Holding Group on Wednesday to collaborate on organising community events that will be held in the Aspire Zone this year.
Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, CEO of AZF, said: “We are pleased to sign this partnership deal with S’hail Holding Group, as it contains community contributions that meet the needs of society through joint work mechanisms.”
“The State of Qatar has changed the concept of sport in society in the past 10 years. The state has also contributed to sports awareness among people and developed the infrastructure in line with the culture of sports,” he added.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Thani, Board member of S’hail Holding Group, said: “We at S’hail Holding Group are proud to be here today as a partner sponsor of Aspire Zone Foundation activities, as part of our commitment to social responsibility and based on the fact that sport is one of the most important pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.”Aspire Zone, also known as Doha Sports City, is a 250-hectare (2.5 km2) sporting complex. Owned by the Aspire Zone Foundation, it was established as an international sports destination in 2003 and in the following year an educational centre for the development of sporting champions (Aspire Academy) was opened.
