Vodafone Qatar officially launched the new 5G-enabled iPhone 12 line-up in an exclusive midnight event at Katara on Friday, enabling hundreds of people to immediately enjoy their new iPhone on Vodafone’s 5G network.
Those who pre-ordered the phones online and wanted to be some of the firsts to pick up their new iPhone were treated to a VIP drive-through experience extended with the highest safety standards.
“Vodafone is the perfect choice for iPhone 12. For a start, Vodafone has built a wide 5G network footprint across the country, giving instant Giga-fast 5G speeds on iPhone 12 devices,” the company said in a statement.
“Vodafone also has the perfect plans for an iPhone 12. Unlimited 5G plans give you unlimited local data, calls and SMS as well as roaming data in up to 140 countries. On top of this, Vodafone exclusively offers customers a free second year warranty worth QR 295 with every iPhone 12 purchase.”
Vodafone 5G is in prime locations such as the Hamad International Airport (the first airport in the region to offer 5G service to its passengers), Mall of Qatar (one of the first malls in the region with 5G service), several hotels including Park Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental, popular destinations such as Msheireb Downtown Doha, Katara and Souq Waqif, and dozens of residential locations including Al Waab, Umm Slal, Al Rayyan, Gharaffa, Abu Hamor, Mamoura, Al Sadd, Bin Mahmoud, Muntazah, Bin Omran, Madinat Khalifa and Al Aziziyah. In addition to covering 75 percent of Doha with 5G, Vodafone Qatar has extended the coverage to other areas outside Doha, such as Al Khor, Al Wakra and a number of camping areas in Sealine.
For those who did not get the opportunity to get their hands on the latest iPhone, Vodafone said it would shortly announce the availability of new stocks.
