Jakarta Indonesia on Thursday recorded its highest number of deaths from coronavirus in a single day since the country’s first cases were announced early last month.
The death toll from Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, rose to 280 after 40 new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the country’s Covid-19 task force said.
The number of confirmed cases rose to 3,293, with 337 additional cases in the past day, according to task force spokesman Achmad Yurianto. (DPA)
