Nine more recover from virus; 54 new cases detected

Qatar on Wednesday reported 54 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the total number of confirmed cases to 835, the Ministry of Public Health has announced. Nine more patients recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 71. Some of the new cases are linked to people who have either recently returned to Qatar or have had contact with those infected with the virus. All the new cases are in quarantine with proper medical care. The MoPH said it is taking all necessary checks for all citizens arriving from abroad, as well as individuals who have been in contact with the affected cases. (TNN)
