Qatar Charity (QC) has distributed 395 gas heaters to the families of orphans and other needy families in various governorates of the West Bank, while its bread distribution project is under way in the Gaza Strip.
The aid comes in view of the difficult economic situation faced by the Palestinians and their deteriorating living conditions in the winter.
The gas heater project has benefited 1,975 persons in various governorates of the West Bank, including Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Nablus, Jenin, Salfit, Jerusalem, Hebron and Bethlehem.
The project aims to support the target families, meet their basic winter needs and protect them from the harsh weather.
The beneficiaries are the families of orphans registered with QC and the families included on the lists of the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, and Zakat Fund.
QC has been providing bread packets to more than 100 poor families every day in several governorates of the Gaza Strip. The project aims to reduce the economic burden on the people living under deteriorating economic conditions in the Strip.
The beneficiaries thanked the people in Qatar for their support through QC.
