DOHA: Qatari pilgrims have begun arriving in the homeland amid comprehensive monitoring by the Qatari Hajj Mission.
The first batch of Qatari pilgrims began returning to their homeland on Monday, via a number of Qatari expeditions on board Qatar Airways and Saudi Airlines.
The group of Qatari pilgrims will continue to return on Tuesday, while the arrival of all pilgrims will be completed on Wednesday, June 11. This is amidst high-level arrangements and continuous follow-up by the Qatari Hajj Mission and its support units, which provide the country’s pilgrims with the utmost care and attention, ensuring their safety throughout their journey of faith and until they arrive safely back home.
Ibrahim Mohammed Al Naama, representative of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the Qatari Hajj Mission, confirmed that the pilgrims’ return comes after they have completed the Hajj rituals with ease and peace, and after they have spent the days of Tashreeq in Mina, and performed the stoning of the Jamarat according to the Sunnah of the Prophet, whether on the twelfth day of Dhul-Hijjah for those who are in a hurry or the thirteenth for those who are late, based on the words of God Almighty: “ Whoever hastens to leave within two days, there is no sin upon him. But whoever delays, there is no sin upon him - for him who fears Allah.” Al-Baqarah: (203).
Field accompaniment and continuous coordination
Al Naama pointed out that the Communication and Support Unit closely followed the movement of pilgrims leaving Mina to perform the stoning of the Jamarat, as it communicated directly with the officials and coordinators of the Qatari campaigns to ensure that pilgrims adhered to the stoning at the scheduled times set by the mission, and according to the specified routes that ensure the smooth flow of movement and the safety of everyone.
The unit was also keen to accompany the pilgrims on the ground through field teams of its members, who carried the banners of the Qatari Hajj Affairs Office, to facilitate the process of communication with the pilgrims during their movements, especially during the stoning of the Jamarat and their exit from Mina to Makkah, which reflects the mission’s commitment to providing continuous support to pilgrims in all stages of the rituals until their safe return to the homeland. .
Mobile ambulance during the stoning of the Jamarat
For his part, Dr Khaled Abdel Hadi, Head of the Medical Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission , explained that the unit has established a mobile medical ambulance unit this year, which is a unique initiative consisting of mobile ambulance teams that accompany pilgrims as they leave the camps in Mina to the Jamarat, and continue to accompany them during the stoning of the three Jamarat - the small, middle, and large Jamarat - and until they return to the camp again; this is to ensure the safety of all pilgrims, especially women and the elderly.
He added that the medical unit has established two fixed ambulance units on Jamarat Road, equipped with all the necessary medical equipment to deal with emergency cases, noting that the unit has provided three paramedics equipped with innovative ambulance suits. (HT RESCUE JACKET) The ambulance, a miniature model of a mobile ambulance, contains all the equipment necessary for rapid intervention in emergency situations, and is directly connected to the two fixed ambulance units. The three paramedics use electric scooters bearing the mission's logo while accompanying the campaigns.
Follow-up and facilitation of procedures at the airport
In the same vein, the Coordination and Follow-up Unit and the Airport monitored the pilgrims' departure from Makkah after completing the Farewell Tawaf, assisting them in facilitating their procedures at King Abdulaziz Airport and the Hajj Airport in Jeddah. This coordination with airlines ensured smooth and seamless departures.
These integrated efforts by the Qatari Hajj Mission and its supporting units represent an implicit message from the Qatari Hajj Mission that it stands with pilgrims throughout their faith journey, wherever they may be, from the time they leave their homeland for the Holy Land, through the performance of their rituals, and until their safe return home after performing the fifth pillar of Hajj.
