Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 118.19 points, or 1.16 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 10,340.37 points on Thursday. The volume of shares traded almost doubled to 118 million from 62.3 million on Wednesday. Six out of the seven sector indices closed in the positive territory. The day also saw market capitalisation of the bourse rise by 1.3 percent to reach QR575.8 billion. Meanwhile in a statement on its website, QSE said that it will remain closed on Wednesday and Thursday on account of Qatar National Day celebrations. The market will resume trading on December 22, 2019. (TNN)
