Qatar Chamber (QC) has participated in the 52th meeting of the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC) held in Muscat recently.
The chamber’s delegation led by QC Second Vice Chairman Rashid bin Hamad al Athba included board member Abdulrahman Abduljalil Abdulghani, QC Director General Saleh bin Hamad al Sharqi, economic expert Mohamed Ibrahim, legal research head Hamad Ali Almerri and secretary of director general Saeed Qadomi.
The meeting gave nod to Qatar to host the meeting of the FGCCC executive committee in February 2020.
The meeting reviewed recommendations of 45th and 46th meetings of the executive committee and discussed proposed amendments on the statute and internal system of the federation.
It also included the appointment of auditor for the year 2019 and discussed the annual report of the FGCCC General Secretariat for the year 2018.
The meeting also discussed the 2020 budget and updates of the establishment of the new headquarter of the federation.
Meanwhile, the chamber’s delegation participated in the EU-GCC Business Forum held in Muscat under the theme ‘technology as an enabler for future growth and prosperity’. About 450 delegates from both the Gulf and the EU participated in the forum.
The forum discussed the role of current and future technologies in education, logistics and manufacturing sectors.
