THE Education Committee of Qatar Chamber has discussed issues facing private sector education in Qatar, including the capacity of school and school fees procedures, especially for schools that have been operating in Qatar for past many years with national and international accreditations.
It also discussed short duration of licenses’ renewal, age of teachers, mechanisms to improve the business environment for private-sector education as well as the committee’s mechanisms of work and expansion of membership.
This came at the seventh meeting of the Education Committee this year, which was led by First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the Committee Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar al Kuwari.
During the meeting, Kuwari praised the directives of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad al Thani aiming to provide support for the private sector in performing its role in the economic development.
He also praised cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Higher Education cooperation and private education sector, stressing that developing private education sector required concerted efforts by all relevant stakeholders.
