Oslo
Qatar and Norway on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
The first round of the political consultations between the two ministries was held in Oslo on Monday.
The Qatari side was chaired by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Ahmad bin Hassan al Hamadi, while the Norwegian side was led by State Secretary to Minister of Foreign Affairs Audun Halvorsen.
During the consultations, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the ways of developing them, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.
Foreign Minister of Norway Ine Marie Soreide on Monday met with Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al Hammadi.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations and the ways to enhance them, in addition to issues of mutual concern.
