The Conquest Continues: Qatar’s CrewQ Prepares for World Dance Battle
CrewQ, the official street dance team under MFEC (Movement & Fitness Elite Center) Doha, will compete alongside thousands of dancers from across the world for the coveted World Champion title.
The championship is recognized as the most prestigious annual event in the global street dance calendar, attracting elite-level talent and judged by some of the biggest names in the hip-hop and street dance scene, including celebrity judges.
This year, three divisions of CrewQ have qualified: U8 Mini CrewQ, U10 Lil CrewQ, and U12 CrewQ JR.
These talented young performers will be aiming not only to bring home the gold but also to secure qualification for the 2026 UDO World Championships.
A Platform for Passion and Purpose
Led by Team Director and Choreographer Coach Aristotle, along with Co-Choreographer Coach Ayman, CrewQ’s mission goes beyond competition, reflecting MFEC’s hopeful vision of continuing to develop dance as both an art form and a recognized sport.
"Dance is movement, but it’s also art and influence,” Coach Aristotle emphasized. "Through street dance, we channel the energy of youth into expression, fitness, discipline, and community involvement. It’s a lifestyle, a sport, and a future career path.”
MFEC is integrating street dance into formal arts education and academic curricula, nurturing youth interest and supporting its emergence as a global sport—especially with breakdance making its Olympic debut. The center also helps students transform their passion into career opportunities by developing their artistic skills into professional paths.
Community and Legacy
CrewQ’s impact goes beyond the stage. In a move to deepen community engagement and awareness, the group has also formed a Parent Dance Team—a new subcategory introduced to encourage family participation and create a supportive culture around youth performance arts.
MFEC and CrewQ are entering a new chapter, preparing for their 11th to 20th-year journey, aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030. Their ongoing efforts aim to elevate the local arts scene and position Qatari talent on global platforms. CrewQ is focused on sustaining team training and advancing to international competitions, supporting Qatar’s Vision for Youth by 2030.
Meet the Youth Powering Qatar’s Global Street Dance Dreams
MFEC Street Dance Doha’s CrewQ has become a beacon of inspiration in Qatar’s street dance scene since their breakthrough win in the U16 Beginner Category at the 2022 UDO World Championship.
CrewQ is MFEC’s official street dance crew, consisting of talented dancers aged 12 to 18, who compete in major international competitions.
Formed in 2019, the group was created with a bold vision: to inspire and be inspired while building a globally competitive dance team grounded in excellence, discipline, and artistic integrity.
"Our commitment is to help young dancers evolve, not just as performers, but as ambassadors of Qatari culture and creativity,” shared MFEC representatives.
What’s Next?
Fans and supporters in Doha can look forward to CrewQ’s upcoming Send-Off Show and Performance Tour, a celebration of their 2025 journey under this year’s powerful tagline: "CrewQ: The Conquest Continues.”
