DOHA: The State of Qatar has welcomed the agreement between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India to a complete and immediate ceasefire between them, under the auspices of the United States of America.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement, that this agreement reflects the wisdom of Pakistan and India and their commitment to peace and resolving all outstanding issues between them through constructive dialogue that leads to comprehensive, consensual, and sustainable solutions, thus enhancing the security and stability of the region.
The Ministry also expressed the State of Qatar's full appreciation for the efforts of President of the United States of America HE Donald Trump, in reaching this agreement, expressing in this context its full support for all efforts aimed at reducing escalation, resolving conflicts through peaceful means, and consolidating peace, stability, development, and prosperity at the regional and international levels.
