DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has affirmed that the launch of two strategic solar energy projects in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed comes within the framework of Qatar's plans to shift towards renewable energy, diversify energy resources, and support strategic development projects.
His Highness the Amir said in a post on his official account on the X platform, "As part of our plans to transition to renewable energy, I launched today two strategic solar energy projects in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed. Through these two stations, we aim to diversify energy resources, support our country's strategic development projects, and leverage the potential of low-carbon energy in our sustainability plans and reduce environmental impacts."
