Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has confirmed that the State of Qatar invests more than £40 billion in the British economy.
Speaking at a press conference with UK Foreign Secretary HE David Lammy in Doha on Sunday, the PM said, “Qatar invests more than £40 billion in the British economy, and that the volume of trade between the two countries exceeded £1.6 billion in 2024.”

Qatar continues to play a pivotal role among major global investors in the UK, noting that the UK is one of Qatar’s most important investment partners with a proven track record of success in key investment areas. page 15
