Prime minister meets French president's envoy to Lebanon

DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has met at the Amiri Diwan with French President's Envoy to Lebanon Jean-Yves Le Drian, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, the latest developments in Lebanon, and a number of issues of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all Lebanese territories, and for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire agreement and avoid escalation, in order to ensure security and stability in the region.
